Great story, although I can picture all of the characters except for “Nice Boss Lady”. I don’t believe I’m familiar with this person -er- fictional character? Would she have perhaps changed titles over the past few years?

My favorite part by far:

TAL: I couldnâ€™t find the retirement information. I mean, I found it, but it wasnâ€™t as easy to find as I thought it should be.

I totally understand how you feel about the CT scan! When Kaylee had her third seizure we were going to most likely have to go to a nueorologist and I knew that would include some sort of head scan which for a baby means they have to be put out. And that scarred me. My husband didn’t understand why.

But I guess you have to look at it as the way to know for sure what may or may not be wrong with your child.

I know Kaylee hates blood draws but we need to know for sure what’s wrong and that means pokes to her arm and although it’s hard to watch, I know she’ll be okay because with the test comes the diagnosis and treatment.

I worry constantly about Kaylee with her issues even though technically we’re done with blood draws and she’s on medication. I think it’s required to worry about your child.

I too have found though that some doctors don’t do the “Everything is great thing though.” I just want to go to the doctor once and have them say “She’s doing fine!” but so far it’s always been, “She’s doing fine but…” I don’t want to hear it anymore!

So you fret and worry all you want because that’s part of being a mother!

Hi! I’ve been wondering about you. I don’t think you know me and I’m not exactly sure how I found your site way back when but I followed it through your pregnancy and I visit weekly checking for updates.

My baby, Kaylee, was born three months ago and now I’m considering going back to work. I was wondering if you returned to work after your baby was born? If so was it hard for you? I’m conflicted as to what to do right now. I quit my job at 36 weeks pregnant but they’ve offered me a great position with a huge raise so now I’m wondering if I should take it and return to work. If you do work, does the majority of your income go into daycare costs?
